In a world where fan films are popping up like weeds (and at the same time being systematically ripped from their nurturing beds) it’s really awesome to see a high quality product done by the fans for the fans.

The Harry Potter fandom still shows no signs of slowing down anytime this century, and thanks to Severus Snape and the Marauders, we get a look at that quartet of mischief made up of Remus Lupin, James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew. This particular tale follows young Severus Snape and James Potter during their late teenage days and the battle for the affections of one Miss Lily Evans.

The film, after reaching it’s fundraising goals, just released today on Youtube:

I have to say, the SFX are fantastic!  And of course, my heart goes out to Severus dealing with the set of four bullies and their flaming patronuses.
