Editor’s Note:  Thanks to friend (and future Aggressive contributor) Gwen for this quick write up!

Fellow Aggressors, we have exciting news for you! If you spent your formative years following the adventures of Lister, Rimmer, Kryton and Cat (very much like I did), rejoice! Red Dwarf is back with two new series’ in the works. Once again you will be able to covet Cat’s suits, call Rimmer a Smeghead and long for a Kryton of your very own.

What you need to know is Red Dwarf has known life since 1988, and will be continuing for two more years.  It originally aired eight seasons on BBC Two between 1988 and 1999, came back when network ‘Dave’ revived the sci-fi sitcom for mini-series Back to Earth in 2009, then a full six-part run Red Dwarf X followed in 2012.  The show’s 11th and 12th series will start shooting this autumn.

DigitalSpy reports the main cast will be returning, after three years of working on other projects. We’ll let you know when the rest of the details hit. We can only hope for a return of Ace Rimmer as well, get your smoked kippers ready!
