MTV2 announced today that they have ordered the pilot for a reboot of Celebrity Deathmatch, the claymation ring match to the death where the Hollywood and music stars would tear each other apart.

Creator Eric Fogel is teaming up with executive producers Chris McCarthy and Paul Ricci to bring the pain for a third time. The series originally aired on MTV from 1998 to 2002, and was revived by MTV2 in 2005 for two more seasons.  This report comes to us from Entertainment Weekly.

Described by the network as “the gnarliest, most over-the-top gorefest that’s ever made it past broadcast censors,” and thanks to youtube, you can find some real gems from the show’s episodes.  My personal favorite is the X-Files one.

Over the past 15 years, she’s built a well-known reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band. She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
