SDCC: No Marvel Presence This Year

There was a great confusion over the weekend when Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn said during a facebook Q & A that media giant Marvel Studios will NOT have a presence at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

Both the Nerdist and ComicBook.com are running this as news, and while sure, it may be, we think it’s more than likely to bring more attention to the heavily Marvel-favored first year event, Atlantic City Boardwalk ComicCon in New Jersey.  The convention is already garnering a lot of attention, from their cosplayers to Stan “The Man” Lee.  How many first year cons do you know of that get official Marvel comics ads?  Seriously.

What will Hall H look like without a MCU panel?  Wow.  I can’t even picture it.

Take this with a grain of salt, because they will more than likely have something there, even if it’s just the comics side of Marvel family.  Could this mean we can start calling 2015’s San Diego Comic Con “sDCc”?  See what we did there?
