“Insurgent”: 2nd Trailer For 2nd ‘Divergent’ Flick

I often joke that my gravestone will read “But in the book” because of my longstanding issues with film versions of novels.  But, after long last, a modern film/novel came along that I can honestly say ‘the movie was BETTER than the book.’

Veronica Roth bestselling young adult series “Divergent” was purchased and adapted to the big screen, hoping to pick up on some of the popularity of hits such as The Hunger Games and The Giver.  I DESPISED the book.  The prose was poorly constructed, and the language all over the map.  I DID however throughly enjoy the movie (which I watched on my Virgin Atlantic flight to London).

Insurgent is the second film in the Divergent saga, and stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet. The film is directed by Robert Schwentke.

The Divergent Series: Insurgent opens March 20, 2015.

She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
