At an offsite event during NYCC, Marvel announced their plans to launch a new set of “Civil War” comics beginning sometime next year.  This has long been rumored to be the subject line of Avengers 3,  and thanks to Iron Man himself, we kinda have confirmation on that.

Variety reports that Robert Downey Jr. is finishing up the finer details of his reprisal of Tony Stark for both Captain America 3 and The Avengers 3.  The initial storyline will supposedly revolve around the Mutant Registration Act; namely who supports it and who does not.

And just to remind readers, here is the Marvel movie schedule as we know it thus far:

    2015:
May 1: The Avengers: Age of Ultron
    July 17: Ant-Man

    2016:
    May 6: Captain America 3
    July 8: Doctor Strange

    2017:
    May 5: Untitled
July 28: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
    Nov. 3: Untitled

    2018:

    May 4: Untitled
    July 6: Untitled
    Nov. 2: Untitled

    2019:
    May 3: Untitled

I cannot WAIT to see how this all turns out.
