    NBC’S Constantine: Yes, He Smokes

There have been so many reports the last two days about NBC’s Constantine title character NOT having his trademark addictive vice: smoking.

Well, since the pilot was leaked online yesterday and everyone is posting screencaps, I can tell you without a doubt, John Constantine (played by dyed-blond Welshman Matt Ryan) smokes.  The featured image is a screencap showing John in the bar enjoying a beer, with wisps of smoke on the bottom left side.

This is a screenshot.  And this is John, at the end of the pilot, putting out a fully smoked still lit cigarette while sitting in a bar.  While we MORE THAN LIKELY won’t be seeing him actively smoking in the show, it is NBC network after all, it definitely appears they will have him give in to his nicotine cravings at least once.

We ALSO have it on good authority from someone working on the show that John will indeed be bi-sexual.

I myself would still LOVE to have it be a plot device, John dealing with withdrawals and all the burnt popcorn therein.  Earlier today it was announced DC has a pretty hefty lineup coming to San Diego Comic Con, including The Flash, Gotham, and Constantine.
