Cameras are rolling on season 2 of HBO Max’s “Dune: Prophecy.” As if that isn’t exciting enough, we know of at least three faces joining the cast as well.

Indira Varma, who most will remember as Ellaria Sand from “Game of Thrones,” Niobe in “Rome,” or Tala Durith in “Obi Wan Kenobi” has been cast.

Tom Hollander and Jennifer Coolidge, "The White Lotus"

Tom Hollander (“Feud,” “The White Lotus“) and Emmy winner Ashley Walters (“Adolescence“) have also joined the cast.

While we don’t know details yet about characters or storylines, we DO know season 2 will have more episodes than season 1. (Season 1 only had six, season 2 will have 8!) With filming beginning now, it’s probably a good bet we won’t be seeing season 2 til sometime in either late 2026, or early 2027.

You can watch season 1 of “Dune: Prophecy” on HBO Max now. We’ll let you know what else we hear about this and other news.

Over the past 15 years, she’s built a well-known reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band. She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
