The interwebs lit up about a week ago with news that Harrison Ford suffered an injury on the Star Wars VII set when one of the hydrolically powered doors attached to the Millenium Falcon malfunctioned.  Reports varied from “life threatening, critical condition, airlifted” to “he’s fine, nothing happened, it’s just a sprain/flesh wound”.

Things even went so far as photoshopping the image of Harrison’s reddit AMA picture.

The most recent news comes from Mr. Ford’s publicist, stating “Harrison Ford’s left leg was broken in an accident,” spokeswoman Ina Treciokas said in a statement to CNN.  She didn’t say how long the actor would be out of work, but he is apparently on the road to recovery.  “His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly,” Treciokas said. “He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.”

We’re actually pretty sure it was because Han Solo was trying to grab Indy’s hat before the door closed on it.
