We’ve been waiting for this trailer for what feels like years. Okay, maybe that’s because it HAS been years since this project was announced. “Red Sonja” stars Matilda Lutz (“Revenge“) as the She-Devil with a sword. Filming took place at the Bulgarian Nu Boyana Studio, with additional shoots at the Greek Nu Boyana Studio.

Enslaved by an evil tyrant who wishes to destroy her people, barbarian huntress Red Sonja must unite a group of unlikely warriors to face off against Dragan The Magnificent and his deadly bride, Dark Annisia.

Wallis Day (“Batwoman,” “Krypton”) plays Annisia, and Robert Sheehan (“The Umbrella Academy,” “Misfits“) plays Draygan.

It also stars Michael Bisping (“xXx: Return of Xander Cage“) as Hawk, Martyn Ford as General Karlak (“F9: The Fast Saga, Final Score“), Eliza Matengu (T”hor: Love and Thunder“) as Amarak, Manal El Feitury (“Code Red“) as Ayala, and Katrina Durden (“Doctor Strange, Shadow and Bone“) as Saevus.

M.J. Bassett (“Solomon Kane“) directs from a script by Joey Soloway (“Transparent“) and Tasha Huo (Netflix’s “Tomb Raider“).

“Red Sonja” hits theaters and VOD August 15th. Check out the trailer:
