Harry Potter Fan Film Kickstarter

Every so often, there is a kickstarter you just have to get behind and support.  Mine for the last two months has been The Gathering Storm: A Marauders Fan Film.  It takes place in the Harry Potter world, pre “The Chosen One”.

The story follows the Marauders; Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs during their sixth year at Hogwarts and the events leading to their roles in the First Wizarding War.  Set in 1977, the movie is a mixture of teen coming of age story along with the rise of the shadow of the conflict looming on the horizon.

This particular project is  the brainchild of a small group of students both past and present from Emerson College in Boston.  Director and co-writer Aaron Rivin (a familiar face to those in the cosplay community) has commented that the project is a product of the love the team has for the material.

The film is little over 3/4’s funded with 4 days to go.  We’re trying to help drum up all the support for it we can!
