    This just in-

It would appear New Line has a big ol undead present for us to unwrap come 2026. Lee Cronin (“Evil Dead Rise“)’s upcoming “The Mummy” from James Wan‘s Atomic Monster, and Jason Blum‘s Blumhouse has a new title, and a release date.

“This will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before. I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening,” Cronin, who is writing and directing the film, said.

Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are co-financing the film. Wan, Blum, and John Keville are producing. Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Macdara Kelleher are executive producing. Alayna Glasthal is overseeing the project for Atomic Monster.

Cronin’s last film Evil Dead Rise for New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures grossed nearly $150 million worldwide.

There was no mention of possible casting yet, but we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

“Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” will hit theaters April 17th, 2026.
