Shocking no one after the critical and box office success of “Barbie,” word is Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach are indeed working on a sequel. While Warner Bros. Discovery has yet to confirm motion on the project, talk in Tinsel Town seems pretty positive it’s at least in the “early stages.”
The film, based on the iconic Mattel doll, grossed $1.4 BILLION at the worldwide box office, and created a veritable pink phenomenon across the globe. It starred Oscar nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, along with an incredible supporting cast.
Gerwig is currently at work on her adaptation of “The Chronicles of Narnia” for Netflix.
We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
