    Disney Legend Richard M. Sherman has Passed Away

    We are very sad to report the passing of a true legend in the music world. Richard M. Sherman, arguably best known for his decades of compositions for the Walt Disney Company, has passed away.

    The two-time Oscar winner wrote some of the most iconic pieces of Disney music, along with his brother Robert B. Sherman (who passed away in 2012).

    Just, you know, a few of the films Sherman had a hand in writing music for: “The Sword in the Stone,” “Mary Poppins,” “Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree,” “The Jungle Book,” “The Aristocats,” and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks.” Together, the Sherman brothers wrote over 200 songs for 27 films and 24 television productions across their career.

    Richard M. Sherman passed away on May 25th in Los Angeles, CA. He was 95.
