It sounds like actor-turned-director Andy Serkis is returning once again to middle-Earth. He will be directing a new film in the “Lord of the Rings” saga, all about a character he’s deeply connected with.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav revealed the news during a call earlier this morning. “The Hunt for Gollum” is “in the early stages of script development,” and will reportedly “explore storylines yet to be told.”
Sir Peter Jackson will produce. Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens “will be involved every step of the way,” according to Zaslav.
That’s sort of….all we know for now. But we’ll let you know when we hear more about this and other news.
