Filmed and directed by Glen Milner, the “Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” documentary film finally has a streaming home. A project that aims to “take you on a journey into the creative mind of the most iconic video game creator in the world.”

Widely regarded as the first auteur of video games, this visually captivating documentary gives a rare insight into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he launches his own independent studio. Featuring contributions from visionary artists such as Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, Dr. George Miller (“Mad Max“ franchise), Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches, and many others, this thoughtful film explores the power and potential of video games as an art form through the work of an influential talent revered by millions worldwide.

During The Game Awards last night, Kojima confirmed a new game called “OD” in the works, as well as a partnership with filmmaker Jordan Peele on it and possibly other projects.

The documentary first premiered at Tribeca Film Festival this year, and will hit Disney+ sometime in the spring of 2024. You can check out the first trailer for the film below:
