We are very sorry to share the news that voice actor Johnny Hardwick, arguably best known for his work on “King of The Hill,” has passed away.
He started performing standup in Texas in the 90s, performing on “The John Stewart Show,” as well as several other late night series. Hardwick brought Hank Hill’s conspiracy-obsessed neighbor Dale Gribble to life on the Fox animated series “King of the Hill” across 258 episodes. (The original series run was 259 episodes.) A revival has been in the works for some time. It is unclear if he had already recorded lines, or if he will be recast.
TMZ reports local authorities were performing a welfare check on August 8th, and discovered Hardwick’s body. He was 64.
