“Babylon 5” has remained in the upper echelon of science fiction television series. Often mentioned alongside “Star Trek” and the remained “Battlestar Galactica” as an important and formative shows, “B5” is having something of a renaissance.

Original creator and writer J. Michael Straczynski has been carrying the torch for several years, and has been our best source of information for upcoming touches on the classic. From him, we learned about an ANIMATED revisit to “Babylon 5,” featuring a voice cast compromised of the suriviving original cast.

You can expect to hear Bruce Boxleitner as John Sheridan, Claudia Christian as Susan Ivanova, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari, Bill Mumy as Lennier, Tracy Scoggins as Elizabeth Lochley, and Patricia Tallman as Lyta Alexander. You’ll also hear Paul Guyet as Zathras and Jeffery Sinclair, Anthony Hansen as Michael Garibaldi, Mara Junot as Reporter and Computer Voice, Phil LaMarr as Dr. Stephen Franklin, Piotr Michael as David Sheridan, Andrew Morgado as G’Kar, and Rebecca Riedy as Delenn.

The first trailer for “Babylon 5: The Road Home” has been released, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing how it’s received.

The full length film will release August 14th, 2023.
