Renck, who produced the highly-acclaimed “Chernobyl” miniseries, will be heading over to Amazon for a throwback science fiction classic. “Day of the Triffids” is one of the great sci-fi films of the 1960s, based on a novel by John Wyndham. Renck is reportedly helming a tv series based on the space plants.
Most recently, the BBC adapted the tale in 2009.
