We are so very heartbroken to report the passing of one of the greats- Angela Lansbury. With a career few could ever top, Lansbury was a star of stage and screen. Perhaps best known by modern audiences as Jessica Fletcher on “Murder, She Wrote” and the voice of Mrs. Potts in Disney’s animated classic “Beauty and The Beast,” Dame Angela Lansbury was a legend.
Her stage career alone included iconic performances, including “Mame” (1966), “Dear World” (1969), “Gypsy” (1974 revival), and “Sweeney Todd” (1979).
“The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday,” her family said in a statement.
Lansbury was 96.

Over the past 15 years, she’s built a well-known reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band. She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
