[Super Bowl 52] “Solo: A Star Wars Story” FINALLY A TEASER

After many months of speculation, it looks like we’ve FINALLY gotten our first official look at Solo: A Star Wars Story today during Super Bowl 52.

The film got off to a rough start, the writer/director team of Lord and Miller being fired from the film by Kathleen Kennedy and LucasFilm part of the way through production.  Rumors abounded, but it seems like it really was a case of the Disney production not agreeing with the pair on anything.  Ron Howard stepped in to finish the picture, and everything seemed to be moving forward again.

That said, the film comes out in less than 4 months, and we’ve not seen a single thing for it other than the less-than-thrilling lobby poster with a simple logo.  This is not normal, but maybe Disney/LucasFilm feels they don’t have to put a lot into the advertising for the film.

It *was* announced last week, although the post was quickly amended and removed, that the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story was going to be shown on Monday, not during the Super Bowl, during Good Morning America.  But- the chatter of their being a teaser of somesort during the Big Game seems likely. Especially when you add in this tweet:
