That’s a Wrap on Season 3 of “LoTR: The Rings of Power”

Sounds like production on the third season of Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” has officially wrapped! We know this because of a few things, chief among them this video posted by the show’s official social media accounts.

Jamie Campbell Bower, who “Stranger Things” fans will know best as Henry / Vecna, introduces the video. We see Amazon MGM’s Shepparton Studios in the UK, flashes of the Great Hall of Prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur), and other characters from the series.

While we don’t know who Campbell Bower is playing yet, the two most likely possibilities are prominent Elves like Glorfindel or Celeborn. Celeborn would be interesting, especially since it was widely believed Callum Lynch had been cast in the role back in season 1. For those who don’t know, Celeborn is Galadriel’s husband, who she says has been missing since he left to fight Morgoth and never returned.

     Logline for season 3:

“Jumping forward several years from the events of Season 2, Season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last.”

Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Prime Video. We’ll let you know what we hear about a likely release date for season 3.
